If you are looking to go to one of our weekly activities but you are not yet familiar with the association you can sign up for a bar buddy! A bar buddy is someone who can not only tell you all there is to know about us but will also introduce you to new people. That way, the next time you come by there will be friendly faces waiting!

Our Bar Buddies

Beau

Read more Hiiiii, my name is Beau! When you read this, I’m probably still in my early 20s, still working on my studies (science communication) or maybe just finished — you’ll find out when we talk :) I’ve been hanging around Outsite/DWH for a while now, always up for a chat or to get swept into organizing a fun activity (my highlights are parties, a taxidermy workshop, a sticker design contest, and sign language bar). There’s plenty to do in our association! A lot of things make me happy. Like, of course, science (nice and generic), languages (especially sign language), my partners (iii), board games, fungi, and homoooooos!!! I’d love to meet you, whether it’s voluntarily or because you’ve been forced into being my bar buddy ;)

Daan

Read more Hi! I’m Daan! I’m in my mid-20s and I do a lot of fun things! I’ve been part of the association for a few years now, so I pretty much know who to go to for what. A lot of things make me happy, though I’m pretty bad at describing them! Art, clothes, going out, books, Lego — everything really! Let’s grab a drink soon! :)

Diana

Read more Omg hii, I'm Diana! I joined Outsite in 2025, and even though I'm still relatively new, I've had such a lovely time making friends and joining activities and committees! I am 23 and studying Computer Science in Delft, but in my free time I really enjoy being outside (and at Outsite ;)) with friends, biking, reading, knitting, or just taking a very much needed nap. I am so hyped to show you around, Outsite is really an amazing, epic place and everyone is so great out there! It is really one of those places where everyone can find someone to befriend and match their vibe, and I think that's such a special thing. Very exciting stuff, wooo!!!

Kaj

Read more Hey hey, I’m Kaj! I’m currently in my early twenties and studying Quantum Information Science & Technology in Delft. I’ve lived here for a while but only joined Outsite recently (partially due to peer pressure) but now I really love it here! Since then I’ve joined a bunch of committees and made plenty of dear friends that I would love to introduce you to! Of course, about me, I am a pretty laid-back person. I am a board games enthusiast, including but not limited to DND and MTG, but I also really like being with people, be it at a party or just having a yap over a glass of wine (I really like wine and totally can info dump on you about it). Oh and of course, I wouldn’t be a computer scientist if I wasn’t lowkey nerdy about computers and quantum. Excited to meet you! :)

Puck

Read more Hi there, I’m Puck! I am in my early twenties and have been around at Outsite for quite a while now. I work as a bartender in the Hague but I also enjoy bartending at Outsite (so if you come around I can teach you all about cocktails and the likes), and I’m part of a bunch of other committees. More about me, I enjoy museums, writing, art and music, and I really love organizing events and parties. I also like volunteering for different events and causes whenever I get the chance. Outsite has a special place in my heart, there are so many nice people and fun activities going on constantly. I would love to show you around! :)

Rob

Read more I’m Rob, 70 years old and almost 50 years a member from the DWH. I met my husband John there, and once we went to live a little further away and married, the DWH fell slowly out of sight. After my retirement and death of John, I started visiting the DWH again. Especially the movie night on Wednesday night and the pink cafe on the first Friday of the month. I also eat irregularly on Monday and Thursday evenings and visit Saturday evenings. And try to loosen up dancing a bit on party nights. I am a (too) serious young man, I love piano (playing and listening), walking, cycling, swimming, massaging and tantra. And home construction jobs reluctantly. I stopped skating. In addition, I am working on automating my house and optimising a heat pump and solar installation using Homey. I know from my own experience how difficult it can be to visit the DWH, and hope I can make it easier for you to visit sometime. Of course, we can also have a coffee somewhere first.

Robin

Read more Hey! I am Robin and I am in my mid twenties. Since 2022 I have been a member at DWH and it has been so much fun! I've been on the Outsite board and I have coördinated the barbuddies. In my daily life I am a Biologist for the government and after that my weeks are already mostly full. But I will always have time for barbuddies! Hope to see you at DWH soon <3

Rory

Read more Hi, I’m Rory, I’m in my mid-thirties and have been part of DWH for quite a while. You’ll usually find me at our MIXUP bar nights on Saturdays, and sometimes at other events during the week too. Outside of that, I’m really into bouldering, trying to get more into sewing, and I work as a computer scientist. If you’re coming by for the first time, I’d be happy to go with you, show you around, and introduce you to some friendly faces!

Suzanne

Read more Hi! I’m Suzanne. Late thirties and mother of two wonderful kids. A few years ago, I made use of a BarBuddy because I found it a bit daunting to walk into DWH on my own. Since that evening, I’ve had the chance to meet many lovely people! These days, I volunteer behind the bar and can also regularly be found in front of it during drinks or activities. In my free time, I enjoy going to museums, the theater, heading out to discover new things or places, or relaxing in nature or through sports. I’d love to meet up with you to introduce you to DWH!
